Children, Food Allergies and Eczema

Did you know 1 in every 5 children are being diagnosed with food allergies? Serious, life threatening food allergies. Those statistics are growing at an astonishing rate. I'm scared to think of what they will be in a year or two from now.
Food allergies develop when a person has Yeast overgrowth in their system. The Yeast's roots burrow into the intestinal tract and create tiny holes big enough for food particles to go through and enter into the blood stream. The body senses an invader and creates antibodies towards those foods and releases histamine which trigger the reaction.
Did you also know that taking probiotics during pregnancy can prevent food allergies in your child? I wish I would have known this years ago....

A story about this little girl from her sweet mother, Mandy
"This girl. My precious jewel. I've held her in my arms, watched her struggling to get her next breath, wondering if this was the end, heart breaking, gut wrenching, desperately wishing the doctors would hurry up when they were working as fast as they could. Seriously people, food allergies are no fun. Especially those kind. The ones that are capable of taking her life. Anaphylactic shock it's called. Where your throat closes up and you can't breathe. Your blood pressure and heart rate go waaaay down. If you don't get medical help immediately you eventually lose consciousness and pass away. Thankfully, things have never gone that far with us. I mean things like this happen just to other people. Right?
We started Arianna on probiotics when she was 6-7 months old. She was still continuously always developing new food allergies even then. We switched to #probio5 last December and she hasn't developed a single new food allergy since. I repeat. She hasn't developed a single new food allergy since. Also, she has grown out of her dairy sensitivity. She can eat ice cream, yogurt and cheese without her eczema flaring up!!!!!!!!! Oh, she doesn't have eczema anymore. How could I forget? :)

BRAIN / GUT CORRELATION

I have always found this one of the most intriguing aspects of Depression and other Psych issues. The intriguing fact is about half way down:) comment if you think you know which one I'm referring to:) Your Brain and Leaky Gut! SOOOOOO interesting One of the most profound discoveries coming out of leaky gut research is how leaky gut and inflammation impact the brain. The gut is known as our "second brain". It contains nervous system tissue (neurons) and produces more serotonin, a brain neurotransmitter, than the brain- "I have a GUT feeling" or "when I am nervous I have diarrhea", are now easily explained! Also, the brain and gut both developed from the same embryonic tissue. The intestine and the brain are intimately connected in that they communicate with each other in the secretion of gastric enzymes, acid, gastric blood flow and the rate of digestion. So, when you have leaky gut, toxins not only inflame the gut lining but they leak into the blood...
